NASC Sponsors CITB Pride of Construction Awards
The NASC was represented at the CITB’s Pride of Construction Awards on Wednesday 10th September – helping to celebrate 50 years of the Construction Industry Training Board and also sponsoring the event, along with major media titles, Construction News and the Daily Mirror.
This large industry event, held at Old Billingsgate in London, aimed to “celebrate the apprentices, employers and strategic partners most dedicated to the skills and training agenda.” And the highlight of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious CITB Gold Awards – with TV presenter, comedian and actor, Alexander Armstrong hosting.
There was a range of categories at the awards – from Scaffolding Apprentice of the Year to Outstanding Training Partner of the Year, with judging by a panel of CITB experts and industry faces, such as CITB CEO, Adrian Belton, Government Chief Construction Advisor, Peter Hansford, Institute of Civil Engineers ex-President, Professor Barry Clarke, Construction News Associate Editor, Damon Schünmann and CITB Chairman and Wates Construction chair, James Wates.
