2008 sees the re-launch of nasc.org.uk providing improved usability and functionality. As you will have already noticed the site includes all the information found on the previous version of the website, but there are also many new elements.
Improvements to the main public area of the site include:
- An introduction to the basic terms of scaffolding
- View the full trailer to the recently launched SG4:05
- Download directly the NASC application/audit form
- NASC news
- NASC members project news area
- Improved navigation to guidance and publications
- Improved search facilities to find a NASC member, including postcode search
- Frequently asked questions (FAQ) area
For NASC members, improvements include:
- Exclusive areas for both Full and Information Members
- Exclusive Full Members Alerts area
- Exclusive Information Members Alerts area
- PDF versions of the press coverage achieved by the NASC
- New "why choose an NASC member company" PowerPoint presentation
- Full details of the NASC Dinner Dance
- Full schedule of all NASC committee and regional meetings, including minutes (Full members only)
- Pricing and ordering information for all NASC guidance and publications
- Download the NASC logo directly (Full members only)
- Direct contact details of every member of the NASC staff
Members will also notice that they will be asked to provide their email address when logging in as well. This is to help the NASC develop a email database ensuring that members can be informed directly of any news, information updates, or opportunities straight away.
"The NASC website will develop to become the information portal for the confederation and its members," states Neil Tomlinson, Marketing Manager for the NASC. "Members and industry will be encouraged to visit the site frequently to understand and be updated on the latest issues that affect anyone working in or around the scaffolding industry. We are already in the planning stage for phase two of the site which will see further developments and functionality added".
