Objectives and obligations

Objectives

The NASC commits to its members the following:

  • To expand market share for its members
  • To encourage and promote high standards of safety within the industry
  • To promote high standards of training in the Industry and attract new recruits
  • To provide essential services to assist members in the successful running of their businesses
  • To provide expert information, both to members and to their clients about the Access and Scaffolding Industry

Obligations

NASC members must ensure that:

  • Operatives are fully trained
  • Health and Safety regulations are complied with
  • Public and Employer's Liability Insurance cover is guaranteed
  • All materials used conform to the highest standards, are regularly inspected and maintained
  • Work is carried out in accordance with the relevant codes of practice
  • All work is carried out by registered scaffolders and is adequately supervised
